odaiba + tokyo tower

so... this week was pretty uneventful workwise. just had a couple japanese lessons is all, mostly i had free time. some of my friends got placements, there are not too many alternates left at the hotel. today we got word that next week, if we are still without placements we will be leaving the hotel to live in a temporary apartment that we pay for in chiba. it will be a 40 minute commute from there to the head office so not too bad. (right now our commute from the hotel to head office is 30 min). anyhoo, i am basically in limbo. the "temporary" apartment could be for a week or a few weeks or maybe months. depends. i think if we dont get placed next week, we will replace someone who has a freakout and bails from their job, just all speculation though... 

in other news, this week was pretty chill. i got to hang out with some guys from my interview group who i met in january so that was cool. yesterday (thursday) i headed to the tokyo bay area of odaiba where i got to soak up some sun on some rocks by the water. it was fabulous. i just took some photos and admired the awesome view of all of tokyo.

today (friday) i had a grueling 3 hour japanese lesson in a sweltering room with no windows. awesome good times. this evening i headed to tokyo tower with a girl from training. its a replica of the eiffel tower with two viewing decks. pretty ridiculous views. crazy whoa, like "oh my gosh, i feel like i am in the biggest city in the world... oh wait i am!". then i got stuffed into a train to come home :) a different life over here for sure...
